Feet & Ankle joints

 

Goal :

 

Balancing & Counterbalancing

 

Contents :

 

 

- Sole of foot (Plantar)

- Flexion (Dorsi & Plantar)

- ‘talus bone’ as a strong weight-bearing platform

- ‘hallux valgus’ on flat-feet due to the erroneous verbal cue, i.e.,

   “Push your heels forward!”

- Two Arches of the Feet : 1. longitudinal arch 2. transverse arch

- Exercises

  · Massage the sole of the feet

  · Spread out & Curl the toes

  · Foot writing

  · Squat on the Balance (Bosu) Ball

 

Guidelines :

 

- No rotation (turn-out) in the ankle joints. Never Happened!

- Ten toe nails face ceiling.

- Three toes in the middle are pointing, when Plantar Flexion.

- Just think about ‘Talus Bone’ when you do point your feet.
